Edith Piaf was more than the greatest female entertainer France ever produced; she was one of the 20th century’s most famous female singers — an international star!
Among her greatest hits are “Non, je ne regrette rien” (1960), “Hymne à l’amour” (1949), “Milord” (1959), “La Foule” (1957), “L’Accordeoniste”(1955), “Padam … Padam” (1951), and, of course, “La Vie en Rose” (1946), among many others.
Imagine, Piaf was born exactly one week after Frank Sinatra came into this world. What a week that was! And what a night August 13th will be as 54 Below pays homage to the memory, the music, and the spirit of Edith Piaf!
