To Learn More:

  • About the Founder:

Alexandra Rozenman’s career has taken her from the Soviet underground to a prominent place in the American art world. Born in Moscow, she found her footing alongside now-famous dissident artists before political pressures brought her to the United States as a refugee in the late 1980s. From that point on, her multilayered, often mysterious paintings have only gained momentum, taking her from an MFA at the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts to international exhibitions to a prestigious fellowship with the MacDowell Colony.

Through her personal experiences, having risked everything to follow her own muse, Rozenman knows how important self-expression is to every person. Accordingly, she works to provide students with the technical skills and supportive environment they need to bring their visions to life. Classes might incorporate readings, movies, or collage techniques, cultivating salon-style inspiration with wine or Russian tea.

  • About the Workshops:

With Alexandra’s help, you feel, understand, learn and express yourself through art. Each workshop has its own creative theme; you use it to learn a variety of painting techniques, some related facts from art history, and what it takes to create a painting. At the end of the 2.5 hours workshop  you will finish your very own painting.  Just bring your curious mind and, if you wish, a bottle of wine for an evening workshop.
