Don’t miss one of Mozart’s most popular masses and an overall exuberant work, Coronation Mass, at world-renowned Carnegie Hall. Featuring the Masterworks Festival Chorus and prominent soloists, with the full forces of the all-professional New York City Chamber Orchestra, and Maestro Z. Randall Stroope.
 
Maestro Stroope is one of the most active choral conductors and composers working today with recent conducting engagements in Rome, England, Germany, Austria, Washington, D.C., and five performances at the Vatican in the past four years.
 
The concert will also include a selection of handpicked choral favorites, performed by the National Festival Chorus, with guest conductor Jefferson Johnson and a performance by Susan E. Wagner High School Symphonic Band, led by conductor Paul Corn.
 
Delight in this wonderful evening of classic choral works at one of the greatest halls in the world!

  • About Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass (March 30, 2015):
Revel in Robert Ray’s joyous choral masterpiece Gospel Mass on Monday, March 30 at 8:00pm, conducted by esteemed guest conductor Anton Armstrong at legendary Carnegie Hall. Ray’s Gospel Mass combines the joyous styles of contemporary African American music with the traditional liturgical setting of the mass in a non-traditional manner.

Manhattan Concert Productions also presents the National Festival Chorus with Grammy Award-winning conductor Jerry Blackstone in a fantastic collection of choral works, including Palestrina’s "Sicut Cervus,” Haydn’s “The Heavens are Telling” from The Creation, and Barnwell’s “Wanting Memories.”
 
The concert also features a performance by the Shenendehowa HS Choir, led by conductor Heather Baird.
