- Friday, April 13, 2018; 8 PM

  •   About the Concert:
This only show at DROM is the very first concert of TELEVIZOR as a full band in the USA, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the cult classic album “Отечество Иллюзий” (“Fatherland of Illusions”) featuring such super-hits as “Your Dad is a Fascist”, “Fed Up to the Neck”, “Children are Walking Away”, etc. This is also the U.S. presentation of the band’s recent album “ИхТиозавр” (“IchThyosaur”).

Russian guests will be supported by their friends from NYC, a new wave / alternative electronica act INTERZONA, (unofficially) presenting their new album “Secret Sessions”.

  • About the Televizor Band:

Legends of Russian rock and pioneers of electronic new wave, TELEVIZOR was formed in 1984 in St.Petersburg (back then — Leningrad). Mikhail Borzikin, the band’s lead singer, songwriter, keyboardist and producer, has always held uncompromising stance radically opposing authoritarianism in any imaginable form. From the 1980s, when he sang uncensored songs with overtly political messages at KGB-controlled Leningrad Rock Club and led thousands-strong march to Smolny to oppose the city government cancelling rock festival, to the present day, when he takes active part in anti-Putin opposition, participates in protest meetings and releases songs like “Forgive us, Ukraine!” he is the very personification of the idea of staying true to  oneself – both in his music and his life in general.
