  • About the Performers:

A full force of creativity, The Klez Dispensers are fresh and daring and have been dishing up their signature state-of-the-art, swinging American-style klezmer music since 1998. With Alex Kontorovich (clarinet), Ben Holmes (trumpet), Amy Zakar (violin), Audrey Welber (saxophone), Susan Watts (vocals & trumpet), and Adrian Banner (piano).

Avant-garde rock meets the Jewish tradition in Pitom, a shredding Jewish instrumental band led by Yoshie Fruchter. Born in D.C. and now living in Brooklyn, Yoshie combines influences from Frank Zappa, Sonic Youth and Masada into a rocking band performing catchy, hooky compositions that both pay tribute to and challenge its heritage. With Yoshie Fruchter (guitar), Jeremy Brown (violin), Shanir Blumenkranz (bass), and Kevin Zubek (drums).

Frank London’s Klezmer Brass Allstars, with many guests, bring the Klezmer party to new heights. Klezmatics Trumpeter Frank London leads a band of Klezmer and Yiddish royalty to new levels of ecstasy. With Frank London, Susan Watts (trumpet), Michael Winograd (clarinet),  Daniel Blacksberg, Brian Drye (trombone), Ilya Shneyveys (accordion), Ron Caswell (tuba), and Aaron Alexander (drums).
