JULIE E. co- wrote “Why Not!”, and Yaron Gershovsky did the arrangement, for which the Manhattan Transfer won the 1983 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal of a Group. On December 27, they will explore together new arrangements of familiar standards and Brazilian classics!

Enjoy a beautiful New Year Celebration of Great Jazz with vocalist extraordinaire JULIE EIGENBERG accompanied by Grammy Award winning pianist and composer YARON GERSHOVSKY, the musical director for the world famous Manhattan Transfer.

Together with world famous and award winning Alex Blake (on bass) and Tommy Campbell (on drums), they bring you Julie’s soulful interpretations of some jazz classics with swinging fun and jamming original songs.

  • About Julie E.

Vocalist Julie Eigenberg – known to her fans as Julie E., Julie Eigenberg, began her singing career in NYC, performing with such greats as George Duvivier, Eumir Deodato, David Spinozza, Vicki Sue Robinson, Moogy Klingman, the Brecker Bros., Leon Pendarvis , Anthony Jackson, Will Lee, and Lew Soloff to name just a few.

Julie co-wrote the song, “Why Not!” with Michel Camilo, and the Manhattan Transfer won the 1983 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal of a Group with their Atlantic Records recording of “Why Not”.

  • About Yaron Gershovsky:

The Grammy-winning Gershovsky is not only the keyboardist for the world-renowned vocal group, but he’s also their musical director and arranger, while Julie E. co-wrote one of the harmonizers’ biggest hits, “Why Not!”. Her own sound is a smooth mix of pop and Latin, but she also displays a soulful command of Brazilian Jazz.
