House of Time, one of New York City’s finest chamber ensembles comprised of faculty and alumni of The Juilliard School, presents an evening of gorgeous gems and virtuosic showcases from both sides of the Alps. They are joined by the electrifying Canadian violinist Aisslinn Nosky, one of the rising stars of the baroque violin for a wild ride from Scarlatti’s Naples, through Vivaldi’s Venice, and over the Alps for an extended stay with the master of crazy violin techniques, Heinrich Biber!

Highlights include Vivaldi’s beautiful oboe concerto in D, his stunning “Damnation Sonata”, written for the Dresden virtuoso Christoph Richters, and the baroque’n roll madness of his variations on “La Folia”.

The chamber ensemble House of Time brings Baroque music to life with energetic performances and compelling programs.  Aside from their home season in NYC, House of Time has performed at the Berkeley Early Music Festival and at the Czech Center New York. 

House of Time ensemble members are: Tatiana Daubek, violin; Gonzalo X. Ruiz, oboe; Paul Dwyer, cello: Beiliang Zhu, viola da gamba; and Avi Stein, harpsichord.

  • About Aisslinn Nosky:

Aisslinn Nosky was appointed Concertmaster of the Handel and Haydn Society in 2011 and has been a member of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra since 2005. With a reputation for being one of the most dynamic and versatile violinists of her generation, Nosky is in great demand internationally as a soloist, director and concertmaster. Recent appearances include La Jolla SummerFest, Staunton Music Festival, Thunder Bay Symphony, the Calgary Philharmonic, the Utah Symphony, and the Holland Baroque Society.
