  • About the Concert:

This is the second event of its kind, talk is already being generated on social media and the close nit jazz lover’s community of New York City. We expect a sold out crowd which will include a vast array of ages and professions.

Requirement: good heart and soul!

Stafford Hunter (Trombone / Vocals) - 3x Grammy nominated trombonist & sea shells player (and sometimes vocalist) is a Philadelphia native. He has performed at formerUS President Bill Clinton’s first inaugural and since played with McCoy Tyner, Tony Bennett, Roy Hargrove, Cab Calloway Orch., Orrin Evans, Clark Terry, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Lionel Hampton Orchestra, Dionne Warwick, Lenny Kravitz and many others….

Rasheed Richard Howard (Trumpet) - Howard has wowed audiences with his two-handed technique, in which he improvises on a flugelhorn and trumpet simultaneously. This unique technique was adopted only by few artists throughout the history of jazz. Similar to George Braith — the legendary jazzman who, along with a few others, who mastered the dual-horn style on saxophone in the ’60s and even built his own double-sax.

Richie Goods (bass) - Richie is famous for his works with Sting, Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera. Richie’s lengthy discography also includes Grammy award-winning and platinum albums of Alicia Keys and Common. Richie most recently toured with Grammy winning trumpeter, Chris Botti. The youngest person ever inducted into the Pittsburgh Jazz Hall of Fame, bassist Richie Goods.

Lucia Jackson (Singer / Dancer)

“Opening this piece, wearing ballroom heels, was the alluring and sensual Lucia Jackson. Whenever she returned to the stage, there was a welcomed spark. ” — Broadway World

“…in which Lucia Jackson, self-possessed and lovely, …” — The New York Times

Trumpet Vocalist

Equally comfortable in both Jazz and Pop settings, Benack has worked with some of the greatest acts in music today, touring domestically as a trumpet soloist with Josh Groban, Ben Folds, fashion icon Isaac Mizrahi, as well as European engagements with Jazz Bass extraordinaire Christian McBride.

Edsel Gomez

Grammy award nominee Edsel Gomez is today one of the premier Latin Jazz pianists in the world. Born in Puerto Rico in 1962. Recipient of the Count Basie Award for outstanding musicianship in 1985 while expanding his performance credits working with such renown Jazz artists as Gary Burton, Claudio Roditi, Bill Pierce, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Don Byron, Chick Corea and Jerry Gonzalez among many others.

Ron Jackson

New York jazz 6 and 7 string master guitarist Ron Jackson is a composer, arranger, producer, recording artist instructor and writer. Ron is currently Contributor/Writer for Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Ron has performed and recorded in over 30 countries as a bandleader and ensemble performer, and is well established on the international jazz scene.
