Jon Huntsman was tapped by President Barack Obama to serve as US Ambassador to China in May 2009, and his nomination was unanimously confirmed by the US Senate. Huntsman was sworn in as ambassador immediately following his resignation as the governor of Utah on August 11, 2009. As a dedicated public servant, Huntsman was committed to serving in this critical post as ambassador to one of the most important international relationships for the US. Most recently, Jon Huntsman campaigned for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. He suspended his campaign in January, 2012.
A veteran political, media and culture reporter and analyst, Jeff Greenfield has spent more than thirty years on network television. He most recently served as CBS Senior Political Correspondent. Prior to his return to CBS News, Greenfield had been senior analyst for CNN since 1998. During that time, he served as its lead analyst for its coverage of the primaries, conventions, presidential debates and election nights, as well as presidential funerals and Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
