WANDERING STARS is brought to New York by the State Jewish Theatre of Romania! Based on a story by Sholem Aleichem, the show is a warm and tender humorous look at the artist’s condition, so close to the human condition. First comes the youth with its enthusiasm and errors. And then….the regrets.

Food has a special place in Yiddish culture. The Yiddish Theatre of Israel brings a musical-culinary journey in accordance with the East European Jewish Kitchen. There are original monologues in Hebrew and Yiddish songs that deal with the kitchen experience. This show, both humorous and touching, is presented by the next generation of Yiddishpiel Theater actors.

Performed by Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre of Montreal, Canada, THE DYBBUK is a gothic masterpiece of quintessential Yiddish tale of desire, darkness and exiled spirit. The show tells the story of love caught between two worlds, and a community torn between religion, superstition and spiritualism. Two children, betrothed by their parents before birth, are drawn together years later in a desperate web of ill-fated love and possession.
